The ask was simple: make the City’s 2022 economic development success feel as bold as Covington itself. What started as a print deliverable turned into something bigger. With a tight timeline, we produced both a full printed and digital report and a 90-second video that captured the real energy of what the Economic Development team built that year.

Printed and Digital Report

The Covington Economic Development team came in with a strong, unapologetic writing voice and a brand refresh that gave us a lot to work with. We built layouts that let the content lead, using the visual identity to put the bold side of the river front and center.

Scripting and Storyboarding

Any video project lives or dies on the script and storyboard phase. The Economic Development team had done so much in 2022 that the real challenge was knowing what to cut. Every scene was built deliberately: hand-drawn storyboards, purposeful content selection, and a few client brainstorm sessions to get the focus right before we moved into production.

The Video

Job creation numbers, new business openings, city incentives, strategic initiatives, a look ahead. The data was deep and the story was real. We worked directly with city representatives to make sure the highlights landed with weight, not just volume. The result was a 90-second tribute to a team that genuinely moved the needle for Covington in 2022.
